What does it mean to be an American woman? Is she defined by her job, her family or her beauty?
Does she create her identity by herself or with the help of friends, husbands and a talk show host from Chicago? The Oprah Winfrey Show has been broadcasting into American women;s homes for nearly 20 years, but how, if at all, has Oprah influenced women's interactions with each other?
As part of an USC student project, this study will interview between 50 and 100 American women to learn if Oprah is affecting women's relationships.
